BLOODSHOTEYE To Enter Studio In September
July 7, 2005Canadian female-fronted "deathmetalcore" band BLOODSHOTEYE will be entering a Montreal studio in September with producer Jean-François Dagenais (KATAKLYSM, MALEVOLENT CREATION, MISERY INDEX) to begin recording their sophomore album, tentatively due in early 2006. Mastering duties will be handled by Alan Douches (SHADOWS FALL, UNEARTH, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN). "We've been working hard on the new songs and plan on recording nine tracks," the band write on their web site. "This will be a much heavier, tighter and mature album than last. . .This will be one brutaly heavy album." Songtitles set to appear on the CD incldue "Foul Play", "Lock and Load" and "Bound to Break".
In other news, BLOODSHOTEYE have announced the addition of drummer Mike "Kid Fro" Wiebenga to the group's ranks. "His style is exactly what we had envisioned this new album to sound like," the band write.
BLOODSHOTEYE's debut CD, "Without Any Remorse" (Galy Records, 2004),featured a guest appearance by LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe.
